App Removal from App Store
In 2025, Apple removed 1213 apps from the Russian App Store. According to the company's transparency report, moderation was carried out in accordance with the requirements of countries where the App Store is represented.

Apple emphasizes that removals were made exclusively at the official requests of authorities of specific states.
Removal Statistics
According to RBC, Russia took the first place in the world in terms of blocked iOS apps in 2025 (1213 apps). Vietnam is in second place - 335 apps were removed. China (196), South Korea (108), and India (54) follow.
Dynamics of Removals
The statistics show an increase in the number of removals in Russia. For comparison: in 2022, only 7 apps disappeared from the Russian segment of the App Store, in 2023 - 12, and in 2024 - 171 apps.
Examples of Blocking
RBC also recalls several high-profile cases of blocking by Russia. In January, the Khamovnichesky court of Moscow ordered Roskomnadzor to block access to an iOS utility that allowed changing the voice during phone calls. Later, in December 2025, the regulator announced the blocking of Apple's built-in video conferencing service - FaceTime.
